Well done to Will X Kemp for this final entry and best of luck in the competition.
Entries for the Hunters' Quest competition close at 10pm tonight, Brisbane time.
He reminds me of a mellow, Rastafarian reggae singer and his big puppy dog eyes are sweet. Not sure if he's Baja or Raja, but I reckon he'd be a lot of fun, as the dwarfs are quite humerous in the books. I could see him wielding a battleaxe or war hammer and going berserk. Well done to Will X Kemp for this final entry and best of luck in the competition. Entries for the Hunters' Quest competition close at 10pm tonight, Brisbane time. I like the way Will has studied the character descriptions on the webpage for the dragon. The great dragon is grey with emerald scales under the wings and has sharp spines down his back. He has no love for knights or Vergai invaders. Check him out in the Hunters of Reloria books. Thanks Will, and best of luck in the competition. Will left them untitled, but I named them just to tell them apart. Will said to mention that he has a Facebook art page called Pirate Arrts, so please swing by and check it out everyone. This picture was done using charcoal over acrylic and shows a rugged man with a kick-ass sword. Thanks Will. Best of luck to you. A very excited young artist named Ashleigh hand-delivered this beautiful drawing to me today. Thanks so much for entering the competition and good luck. I really like the use of colour and the detail in the head and claws. Only one more day to go and I still have 3 more entries to post from today. Busy, busy. Thanks all, I really appreciate all the time and effort you have invested in these great pictures. 'Sienna the Huntress' was painted with acrylic by Levi and is a good match for her description in the books. Sienna is a skilled halfling archer and is living alone in the Wild Woods before she joins the quest. Thanks to Levi for this great painting. Please go onto Facebook to vote for your favourite entry. www.facebook.com/huntersofreloria Eidothea is the ruler of the mermaids and Nita has done a great job of capturing her striking features in this drawing. Thanks, and good luck in the competition. We're up to 20 entries now, with just 2 more days to enter. I'm not sure if he's Harf or Gar, but either one will slit your throat to get your lunch. The goblins living in the Baretop Mountains are originally from Vergash and are distantly related to the Vergai. They are about foot tall, green and lanky, are dirty, and wear loincloths They have long, pointed noses and their thin ears protruded sideways from their elongated heads. Their skinny limbs look too long for their scrawny bodies and their fingers long and filthy. Their mouths have sharp, spiky teeth They fight with daggers and speak in simplified common language. You can read how the halfling meet them at Goblin Falls in the Elven Jewel book. Thanks Nita for this great drawing. I really like the shade of green you've chosen, and the detail. Drawing by colour pencil and the subtle shading really makes him look 3D. Sienna and her bond-fairy Sienna-Li, are pivotal characters in all three Hunters of Reloria novels. I like the way this artist has depicted the halfling and also the dragon in the background using pencils. Thanks Nita for entering and best of luck in the competition. 2 more entries from her to come too. Yay! Watch this space. Only 3 days left to enter the Hunters' Quest art competition and have a chance to win $150 and get your pic on a new novel. 'The Mysterious Dragon' is a great title for this drawing, as I try not to tell people too much about the dragon before they read the book. Suffice it to say that the dragon is a very important character. He is grey and had emerald scales under the wings. Young Kyla has done a fine job of drawing him in pencil, with every scale detailed, and a wall of flame in the background. What a great use of colour! Well done Kyla and best of luck in the competition. 'Fly away' is a new entry in the art competition by a wonderful Australian artist I discovered online. It was created using mixed media of water colour, ink, paper, and tape. The colours are so vibrant and I love the textures. I can just imagine her flitting around Reloria with the halflings, and helping the flowers open. You can see more of Lissy's artwork at the Yellow poppies Facebook page. Thanks for entering and best of luck in the competition. There are just a few days left in the art competition and judging will take place next weekend. |
